I have the pleasure of introducing Melvin and Ashley Nichols in an Atlanta studio maternity session photographed by James.  Melvin and Ashley chose an indoor maternity session focusing on tons of relational portraits, with a focus on silhouette portraits.  And I am so in love with this whole session.  These two are so in love and really great in front of the camera. I can’t wait to show you their newborn portraits.  Baby Camden is just adorable!

Why Maternity Sessions Are So Important!

If you already read our bio, then you know that James and I (Michelle) work together in most of our Atlanta newborn sessions.  However, maternity sessions are photographed with James alone.  This is a chance for the new mom and dad to get to know their photographer and to build their trust in him.  He is quirky and a little crazy, and he is also sure to loosen up anyone who is a little nervous about being photographed.  If it isn’t his AMAZING modeling moves, then his crazy laugh will make anyone smile.

Maternity sessions are such a special moment for a mom and dad.  If this is your first child, then these photographs will mark the last time when it will  be just the two of you.  However, for a sibling, these portraits will be especially important,  because it will feature just the three of you.

Both parents look stunning here.  However, I just love Melvin’s profile and how he’s looking at the baby!
