Community Q BBQ

Community Q is our favorite place to eat BBQ with our family. Everything here is cooked fresh on a daily basis.  And rather than throwing out the leftovers they donate them to the local food bank.  The menu is full of bbq favorites such as ribs and pulled pork, along with some of the best brisket in town. There are plenty of kid friendly options on the menu, including some heavenly mac and cheese. The pricing is also great in addition to the portion sizes. The food is undeniably delicious, and will have you coming back for more.

Farm Burger

Farm burger is our go to restaurant for tender juicy burgers. It’s a small chain with locations in Decatur, Buckhead, and Dunwoody. They use grass fed beef, dry aged and ground fresh. From cows that have never been fed antibiotics or growth hormones. They offer a seasonal menu of burgers, fries, salads, and milkshakes. And if you’re not in the mood for fries the menu sports slaw, greens, chili, and grits as side options. This year fruits and veggies have been added as a side option on the kids menu.  Making it not only a tasty choice for families, but also a healthy one.

Green Ginger

Green Ginger is an Asian fusion restaurant with Chinese, Japanese, and Thai dishes. They have a location in  Decatur as well as in Peachtree City. One of the most popular items on their menu is their build your own noodle bowls. You can pick your choice of meat, vegetables and noodles to go along with their menu of broths. Making sure everyone in the family gets something they love. If you’re dining in they have really great and friendly service. However if you’re having a busy night and have no time to go out they also offer online ordering and delivery.

DaVinci’s Pizzeria

DaVinci’s replaced a former Mellow Mushroom location here in Decatur, and has subsequently become one of our favorite decatur family restaurants. They also have DaVinci’s locations in Midtown and Smyrna if you don’t live in Decatur. They offer standard pizzeria fare with a menu of pizza, calzones, pasta, sandwiches, wings, and salads. A kids menu has also been recently added to cater to the little ones. And if delicious pizza isn’t enough their breadsticks are AMAZING! Like Green Ginger, DaVinci’s also offers online ordering and delivery for your busy nights.

Wahoo! Grill

If you’re dining out for the night Wahoo! Grill is a great choice. The restaurant has a uniquely great ambiance, as well as a large outdoor dining area. The chefs are using the freshest local and organic ingredients to create a traditional menu of pasta, steak, and fresh seafood dishes. If you’re looking for something other than dinner they also offer a brunch buffet on Sundays full of southern favorites. Not to mention the special bonus for families allowing children to eat free every Monday through Friday from 5 to 6:30 pm.
